Easter Island

Easter Island, also known as Rapa Nui, is a remote island located in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. It is famous for its mysterious and iconic stone statues called Moai. The island is of great archaeological and historical significance. The Moai statues were created by the early inhabitants of Easter Island, the Rapa Nui people, between the 13th and 16th centuries. These enormous statues, carved from volcanic rock, range in height from a few feet to over 30 feet. Their purpose and the methods used to transport and erect them remain subjects of debate and fascination.
