Breeze Airways has unveiled its summer schedule from Raleigh-Durham International Airport, introducing three new routes to New England destinations. The low-cost airline plans to initiate flights from Raleigh-Durham to Burlington, Vermont, Portland, Maine, and Syracuse, New York, just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. These routes will operate twice weekly throughout the summer season, concluding on September 3.
Breeze Airways commenced operations at the North Carolina airport in February 2022 and has experienced notable success in the region. Within a year, the airline has rapidly expanded its services, offering a mix of year-round and seasonal routes.
President of Breeze Airways, Tom Doxey, commented on the growth, stating, “Raleigh-Durham and the greater Research Triangle have shown to be a fast-growing destination and origin. We have seen great demand in the region, and we are excited to bring more affordable and convenient destinations to our guests, now with 15 nonstop destinations on sale.”
In addition to the New England routes, Breeze Airways has additional summer routes planned for Raleigh-Durham. The airline will introduce flights between Raleigh-Durham and San Diego in May, offering a new transcontinental route not provided by any other carrier.
To coincide with the announcement, Breeze Airways has made all three new flights available for booking at promotional fares starting from $59 one-way when booked directly through the airline’s website or app. The promotional fares are available for booking until February 5, with no blackout dates, providing travelers in the Triangle region an opportunity to take advantage of affordable fares for summer travel to New England.
Raleigh-Durham International Airport has experienced significant growth in recent years, with Breeze Airways and Avelo Airlines establishing a presence, and additional services from international carriers like Lufthansa and Aeromexico scheduled to begin in the upcoming summer season.
