JetBlue’s latest flash sale is live, giving travellers a head start on saving big on early 2024 flights.
Travellers can use the promo code “NEWYEAR” to receive $25 off a one-way flight of $50 or more, or $50 off a round-trip flight of $100 or more. The sale ends at 23:59 EST on 13 December.
Flights must meet the stated minimum spend before taxes and fees to qualify for the discount, according to the airline.
The booking period is open for travel between 9 January and 28 March, but excludes Fridays and Sundays. However, the discount only applies to non-stop travel and specifically excludes transatlantic or Mint Business Class tickets.
“Dive right into your New Year’s travel plans with savings on next year’s flights,” JetBlue wrote on X about the promotion.
Travellers who live near a major JetBlue hub, such as Boston or New York, are in luck, as there are plenty of nonstop flights included in this sale. In particular, popular international winter destinations such as Liberia, Costa Rica; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and San Juan, Puerto Rico are all on sale. For travellers looking to stay closer to home, JetBlue flies to nearly a dozen cities in Florida and offers seasonal service to Bozeman, Montana.
The airline offers three main fare levels, all of which are included in this sale – Blue Basic, Blue and Blue Extra. At the most restrictive level, Blue Basic allows only one personal item on board and fees for seat assignment and any changes or cancellations. The Blue fare offers the most value with a free carry-on bag, advance seat selection and no change fees for a future travel credit that can be used for 12 months, while the Blue Extra fare goes one step further and allows travellers to make a free same-day flight change.
