Hundreds of thousands of tickets for the Paris Olympic Games were released on Thursday, with the 2024 Summer Games just months away.

The Paris 2024 Organising Committee released more than 400,000 new tickets for all Olympic and Paralympic sports on a first-come, first-served basis. The tickets are available for all events, including those that were previously sold out, and went on sale for the first time at 10am Central European Time (4am ET).

Organisers said this would be the last time tickets would be available for all sessions before the Games.

“All sports will be back on sale for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games, so you can get up close and personal with the performances of the world’s greatest athletes and the iconic moments of the Games – including all finals,” organisers wrote in a statement, adding, “With the year-end festivities just weeks away, this is a unique opportunity to give – or treat – yourself to an exceptional experience with tickets to the Paris 2024 Games.”

Tickets for the Opening Ceremony, for example, start at 90 euros (98.23 dollars) for the Olympic Games and 150 euros (163.71 dollars) for the Paralympic Games. Swimming tickets, which were previously sold out, range from €24 ($26.19) for a morning session of the 50m freestyle heats to €980 ($1,069.57) for the 50m freestyle final.

In total, around a third of all tickets going on sale on Thursday will cost €50 ($54.57) or less. There is a maximum of 30 tickets per account.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will kick off on 26 July 2024 and will take place at dozens of different venues in and around Paris and beyond, including swimming events in the famous River Seine. In anticipation of the demand, hotels in Paris have increased their rates, with nearly half of all hotel rooms already booked as of last month.

Americans heading across the pond will have the opportunity to visit the historic Palais Brongniart, which once housed the Paris Stock Exchange and is now being transformed into the Team USA House. Spectators who book an official hospitality and travel package will be able to visit.
