It just got cheaper to visit the City of Lights by train this summer.
To celebrate the upcoming 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, Eurostar has announced an increase in train services between London and Paris – to accommodate spectators, participants and travellers at a discounted price.
Travellers looking to book a ticket can get a deal of £49 (or $60) for a limited time as Eurostar offers the promotional prices on tickets, according to a release from the company.
“We are preparing for more than one million passengers to travel with us to the French capital for these exciting and unforgettable events,” said Francois Le Doze, Eurostar’s chief commercial officer, in a statement. “We have released Eurostar tickets early to give our customers the best chance to plan their trip in the greenest way possible to support their Olympic and Paralympic teams and their favourite athletes.”
The high-speed Eurostar service takes 2 hours and 16 minutes from London to Paris. Trains depart from London’s St Pancras International terminal and arrive at Paris Gare du Nord station, which is 2.4 miles north of the Louvre Museum.
The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from 26 July 2024 to 11 August 20224 and the Paralympic Games will follow from 28 August 2024 to 8 September 2024.
