The Village Celebration – Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

It’s time to embark on a delicious journey as the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival’s Village Feast returns, this time with a coastal twist. The all-day festival will see thousands of passionate foodies descend on the beautiful Inverloch foreshore on November 18 to experience the best of Gippsland produce prepared by a star-studded line-up of Australian chefs.

Headlining MFWF’s flagship event is acclaimed chef and host of The Cook Up Adam Liaw, who will be joined by world-renowned Caribbean chef Paul Carmichael (Momofuku Seiobo) and Masterchef winner Emelia Jackson, Melbourne’s top chef Thi Le (Anchovy, Jeow, Ca Com), social sensation The Invy Baker, bestselling author and chef Raph Rashid, acclaimed Sydney chef Clayton Wells (Mod Dining, Automata), local legend Nick Mahlook (Sodafish) and more.

You can catch these culinary stars in action at 10 different food stalls or in culinary discussions at the Chef Shack, hosted by seasoned traveller Sofia Levin. There’s also the Drinks Shack, where you can chat to local wine and spirits producers, enjoy free tastings from 14 world-class winemakers and relax at one of seven lively bars.

While you wine and dine by the sea, enjoy live music throughout the day from the likes of Aria Award winner Alex Lloyd, Kim Churchill and Cool Out Sun.

Tickets for the Village Feast are $35 for adults, $15 for children aged 10-17 and free for children under 10. The little ones will have a blast at the festival with cupcake decorating, sandcastle making competitions and face painting, and as an added bonus there will be egg and bacon rolls, coffee and a DJ in the morning to help you start your Sunday.

The Village Feast is part of the Gippsland Seaside Weekender, a program of events designed to fill your Gippsland holiday with delicious new experiences.
