Golden Eagle Luxury Trains has announced a new extension to its four-day Paris to Istanbul rail journey on the Danube Express, offering guests the chance to explore the captivating region of Cappadocia.
The optional add-on begins with a flight from Istanbul to Kayseri. It includes luxury transfers, boutique hotel stays, curated dining, expert local guides, and full coverage of all entry fees and tipping. The extension allows travelers to discover the unique history, culture, and landscapes of Cappadocia without any hassle.
Guests can stay in a boutique cave hotel, blending ancient architecture with modern comfort. The tour also includes a guided visit to the Göreme Open-Air Museum, known for its rock-hewn churches decorated with frescoes. Travelers may choose to take part in a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the region’s famous fairy chimneys.
Other highlights include a walk through Devrent Valley, also called the Valley of Imagination, where unusual rock formations resemble animals and mythical shapes. Guests will also explore ancient underground cities, enjoy regional dishes and Cappadocian wines, and unwind in a traditional Turkish hammam.
The Cappadocia extension is available on selected departures, including 11 September 2025. It is also offered as a pre-tour option for guests traveling from Istanbul to Paris on specific itineraries.
Golden Eagle Luxury Trains provides an all-inclusive experience. Each package features private en-suite rail accommodation, fine dining and drinks, personal cabin attendants, fully guided off-train excursions, all gratuities and transfers, luxury hotels, and the presence of a UK-registered doctor on board.
Prices for the Cappadocia extension start from US$3,700 (approximately AU$5,867) per person, based on twin share.
