Singapore Airlines Named Roy Morgan Research 2024 International Airline of the Year

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been recognized as the 2024 International Airline of the Year by Roy Morgan Research, marking its fifth win at the prestigious annual Customer Satisfaction Awards held in Melbourne last night.

The airline was honored for its exceptional customer satisfaction, securing the top spot among major international airlines serving Australia. Louis Arul, SIA’s Regional Vice President for South West Pacific, praised the team’s dedication, calling the award a reflection of their commitment to service excellence.

Australia is a key market for Singapore Airlines, which has been operating in the country for more than 55 years. Arul emphasized that the airline has consistently prioritized customer comfort, travel experience, and safety. This marks the fifth time SIA has received the esteemed recognition.

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine highlighted Singapore Airlines’ consistent performance in customer satisfaction. This year’s win marks the airline’s eighth overall, as well as its fifth consecutive victory. The airline’s recognition spans from 2018 to 2019, before the pandemic, and continues to include 2022, 2023, and 2024.

“In a highly competitive industry, Singapore Airlines stands out with exceptional customer satisfaction,” Levine stated. “The airline has excelled since the pandemic ended and is the preferred choice for Australians traveling abroad.”

For the first time in 2024, Singapore Airlines won all 12 monthly satisfaction awards, achieving an impressive average satisfaction rating of 94.3%. This strong performance placed the airline among the top 10 trusted brands in Australia across 38 categories, earning a spot in the “Best of the Best.”

The Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards is a prestigious event that recognizes over 300 prominent companies across various industries. Each year, the awards are based on feedback from more than 60,000 Australians, ensuring that the results reflect genuine customer experiences.

“Roy Morgan’s data scientists gather and analyze feedback from thousands of customers, offering a true reflection of their views,” Levine explained. “This makes the awards particularly meaningful and highly respected.”
