To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, American Cruise Lines is introducing a range of extended river cruises.
These new voyages will each last over 50 days, offering travelers the chance to explore a variety of destinations, including Alaska, the Florida Keys, South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and more.
One of the highlights is the 52-day “Great United States Cruise,” which will take passengers through 18 states and three national parks. This journey, aboard three small ships, begins in Portland, Oregon, and ends in Boston, Massachusetts, just in time for the Fourth of July fireworks over Boston Harbor.
Another option, the 51-day “Spring Across America” voyage, will visit 10 states and travel aboard five small ships. The cruise starts in Charleston, South Carolina, and makes its way to Juneau, Alaska, with a variety of stops along the route.
For those interested in autumn views, the 55-day “Great American Fall Foliage” cruise will explore 18 states on four small ships, traveling from Juneau, Alaska, to Washington, D.C.
In addition, American Cruise Lines will bring back its popular 36-day “Civil War Battlefields” cruise in 2026. This voyage covers 12 states aboard three small ships and travels from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
