Starting May 2025, Thailand will implement a new digital arrival card system, replacing the traditional paper-based TM6 form for all international visitors. The move aims to streamline immigration procedures, reduce paperwork, and enhance efficiency at entry points across the country.
The digital arrival card will require travelers to submit their details online before arrival, including passport information, flight details, and accommodation. This shift is expected to shorten processing times at airports and border checkpoints while improving data accuracy.
Authorities emphasize that the new system is mandatory for all foreign visitors, whether arriving by air, land, or sea. Failure to complete the digital form in advance may result in delays during immigration clearance.
The change reflects Thailand’s push toward digital transformation in tourism, aligning with global trends favoring contactless and automated travel processes. Further updates on the platform’s launch and submission guidelines will be announced ahead of the May 2025 rollout.
