MSC Cruises has officially set a new world record for assembling the longest line of Lego ships.
More than 1,000 crew members participated in the record-breaking attempt aboard MSC World America. The event took place as the ship traveled from the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, to Miami, Florida. The vessel is set to enter service on April 12.
The crew successfully built 1,391 Lego ships, forming a display that stretched 291 feet along the World Galleria on Deck 6. The entire process took just under two hours, with each ship requiring approximately five minutes to complete. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was present to verify the achievement.
This event is part of MSC Cruises’ ongoing collaboration with Guinness World Records. Since 2023, the company has introduced record-breaking entertainment across its fleet, allowing guests to attempt various world records. Previous challenges have included pulling a 100-meter rope in record time and completing 20 chair rotations in under 21 seconds.
MSC Cruises also maintains a long-standing partnership with Lego.
“Our entertainment team is dedicated to enhancing onboard experiences and elevating them to new levels,” said Steve Leatham, vice president of entertainment for MSC Cruises. “By collaborating with top entertainment brands, we create truly magical moments for our guests.”
