Courchevel, a luxury ski resort in the French Alps, is turning its attention to Indian tourists. The goal? To get 5% of its total overnight stays from Indian visitors within five years. This move is part of a bigger plan to attract more international travelers.
After the pandemic, Courchevel has stepped up its marketing in India. While most guests still come from Europe, the resort sees India as a major opportunity for growth.
Working with One Rep Global has helped Courchevel gain more visibility in India. The number of Indian tourists visiting the resort has been rising. Last year, Indians made up 1% of the resort’s 1.6 million overnight stays. Now, Courchevel wants to grow that number much faster.
Indian visitors to Courchevel are usually families or groups of friends, mostly between 30 and 50 years old. But more young, adventure-loving travelers are also showing up. On average, they stay six to seven nights—longer than many other tourists.
To appeal to Indian travelers, Courchevel is changing its approach. Instead of just offering standard ski trips, the resort is creating special, personalized experiences. The aim is to become a top choice for Indians looking for a unique Alpine getaway.
