The Tourism & Transport Forum Australia has praised the NSW Government’s ambitious plan to grow the state’s visitor economy to $91 billion by 2035. The target was unveiled as part of a review of the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy.
TTF CEO Margy Osmond welcomed the vision, calling it a strong step to keep tourism as a key economic driver. “This plan shows the leadership and big thinking needed to make NSW a top global destination,” she said.
Osmond highlighted critical challenges, including the need for 40,000 more hotel rooms, expanded aviation capacity, and solutions for workforce shortages. “We’re ready to work with the government to overcome these hurdles and deliver world-class visitor experiences,” she added.
