The Islands of Tahiti have launched an exciting new competition offering Australian and New Zealand travel agents the chance to win one of nine luxury trips to the tropical paradise The prizes were announced during the Meet The Islands of Tahiti Roadshow which returned this year after a break in 2023.
Winning agents will experience Tahiti’s hidden gems firsthand with prizes including Aranui and Paul Gauguin cruises premium hotel stays flights and unique activities Many packages allow agents to bring a guest to share the experience while also receiving valuable marketing support to help promote Tahiti to their clients.
Caroline Brunel Account Director for Australia New Zealand expressed enthusiasm about reconnecting with the trade “We are thrilled to bring so many Tahitian partners here to share their passion and showcase why these islands are so special for you and your clients” she told attendees.
The roadshow features five days of immersive events across Brisbane Sydney and Auckland including workshops networking lunches and vibrant Tahitian soirees The Sydney event at Pier One treated guests to traditional dance performances tropical cocktails and authentic Polynesian cuisine.
While Tahiti welcomes about 300000 visitors annually compared to Hawaii’s 9 million the destination is working to increase its appeal Infrastructure improvements include upgraded automated border controls at Faaʻa International Airport and the soon to open Port Autonome de Papeete cruise terminal Australian travelers can access Tahiti via convenient connections through New Zealand.
This major incentive program aims to deepen agent knowledge of Tahiti’s diverse offerings across its 118 islands and five archipelagos helping them move beyond the destination’s familiar postcard image to sell its authentic luxury experiences.
