Australian Agents Return from Globus Irish Escape Famil

by Alice

Eight top-performing travel agents from across Australia have returned from an exclusive famil trip hosted by Globus Family of Brands. The tour, called the Globus Irish Escape, was a part of a trade booking incentive and was organized in collaboration with Tourism Ireland.

The seven-day Globus Irish Escape tour covered some of Ireland’s most iconic attractions, including the Cliffs of Moher and Dublin’s vibrant city center. A highlight of the trip was a visit to John Meade pub, where the agents joined in the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. The festivities included an official street parade, with marching bands from around the world, dancers, and colorful floats.

The Irish Escapes tour is the best-selling option out of the 28 tours offered by Globus as part of its off-season Escapes program. This program offers tours to various countries at special prices during the shoulder season, highlighting key sights in each destination.

The agents were hosted by Anji Tierney, Globus Business Development Manager for Queensland West/South. Tierney described the experience as filled with non-stop Irish fun, giving the agents a firsthand look at Ireland’s many attractions.

“It was fantastic for our top agents to experience everything Ireland has to offer—from visiting the famous Blarney Stone to enjoying Irish coffee and witnessing the excitement of St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin,” said Tierney.

The group also enjoyed live music at John Meade pub, a historic venue that legally opened in 1705, though it had been serving drinks since 1685. In Killarney, the agents experienced the charm of Ireland’s past with a horse-drawn carriage ride to a castle.

“With its breathtaking landscapes, warm hospitality, rich history, cozy pubs, and lively culture, it’s clear why Globus bookings for the Irish Escapes tour have doubled since before the pandemic,” Tierney added.

To encourage travel advisors to book off-season tours, Globus is also waiving the single supplement on select 2025/2026 Europe tours until May 1, 2025.
