Visit Clearfield County is now offering three major grant opportunities to support local tourism and recreation projects. Applications open on Monday, March 24, 2025.
A total of 19,700isavailablefortourismpromotion.Another25,000 is set aside for projects that improve visitor experiences. A brand-new $100,000 Recreation Project Award will fund new recreational assets.
The money comes from the county’s Hotel Tax funds. The Visit Clearfield County Board of Directors will review all applications and award grants based on merit.
The tourism promotion grant (CCTP) helps businesses attract visitors from outside the county. The tourism attraction plan (CCTAP) focuses on keeping tourists in the area longer. Eligible projects must provide at least four hours of activities for every hour of travel time. Priority goes to projects that highlight Clearfield County’s natural beauty, history, or recreation options.
Winners must use all funds and submit a final report by December 5, 2025. Missing the deadline means losing the grant. A 25% cash match is required for CCTP and CCTAP projects.
The new $100,000 Recreation Project Award will fund projects that create lasting visitor experiences. The goal is to boost the local economy and encourage overnight stays.
Applications are due by April 24, 2025. They can be submitted online or in person at the Visit Clearfield County office. Winners will be announced on May 14, 2025.
Grants are not guaranteed every year. If a project is rejected, applicants cannot submit the same idea again.
