Kimpton Hotels is bringing a bold new trend to U.S. travelers. The luxury hotel brand, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has teamed up with Tiny Zaps, a trendy tattoo studio famous for its small, meaningful designs. Together, they’re launching pop-up tattoo events at select Kimpton locations across the country.
Starting in April, guests aged 18 and up can get inked with exclusive, city-inspired tattoos. Each design reflects the local culture of the host city. For example, New York’s tattoos draw from the Theater District, while New Orleans’ designs celebrate Bourbon Street. The events will run monthly through June.
Tattourism—combining travel with tattoos—isn’t new. Sailors once marked their journeys with ink. Now, Gen-Z and Millennials are embracing the trend, choosing permanent souvenirs over typical keepsakes. Tiny Zaps’ skilled artists will offer these limited-edition tattoos at five Kimpton hotels:
