Air Canada is set to launch a new seasonal flight service between Edinburgh and Montréal, starting on June 27.
The new route will operate three times a week during the summer peak season. Flights from Edinburgh will depart every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday morning. Flights from Montréal will leave each Monday, Thursday, and Saturday evening, arriving in Edinburgh the following morning.
The service will run until September 7 using Air Canada’s 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which offers 16 seats in Premium Economy and 153 in Economy.
This new service adds to Air Canada’s existing daily flights between Edinburgh and Toronto, and it is the only direct connection between Scotland and Montréal, the airline said.
Margaret Skinner, Air Canada’s senior director of sales for EMEAI, commented, “Edinburgh has always been a key market for Air Canada due to the strong business, tourism, and cultural ties between Scotland and Canada. We are excited to expand our presence by adding this second route in 2025.”
This summer, Air Canada will operate 75 weekly flights between the UK and Canada, with services from London Heathrow, Manchester, and Edinburgh to Canadian cities such as Calgary, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver.
