The discussion started when a passenger shared her experience on the Pacific Adventure, a former P&O Australia ship now part of Carnival’s fleet. The guest claimed her cabin had paranormal activity during a February cruise. She asked Carnival’s brand ambassador, John Heald, if others had similar experiences in the same room.
Heald, known for his humor, replied lightheartedly but removed the room number from his response to avoid alarming future guests. He joked about a past séance on the Carnival Breeze, where he claimed to contact the spirit of a bottled water company founder.
The post sparked reactions from other cruisers. Some shared their own eerie experiences, particularly about the *Queen Mary* in Long Beach, which many believe is haunted. Others expressed interest in a Halloween-themed “haunted cruise.”
Carnival’s takeover of P&O Australia’s ships, including the Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter (renamed Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter), has excited Australian travelers. Heald confirmed upgrades to these ships while keeping some beloved features.
