Bangkok is set to come alive as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosts the 43rd Thailand Tourism Festival from March 26 to 30, 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event, which runs daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offers free admission to all visitors, making it an accessible celebration of Thai tourism.
This year’s festival revolves around the theme “Five Essential Experiences in Thailand,” highlighting the country’s diverse attractions while promoting carbon-neutral tourism. The initiative aligns with the broader “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sport Year 2025” campaign, which aims to position Thailand as a top global destination.
A Push for Sustainable Tourism
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, emphasized the festival’s role in inspiring travel and creating memorable experiences for domestic tourists. With an expected 130,000 attendees and a projected 45 million online impressions, the event is poised to make a significant impact.
Sustainability remains a core focus, with the festival adopting a “Zero Waste to Landfills” approach. Fourteen waste-sorting stations will be set up across the venue, with an ambitious target of keeping unsorted waste below 10%. This effort underscores TAT’s commitment to making tourism a driving force for environmental responsibility.
Getting There and Making the Most of Your Visit
To minimize environmental impact, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation, including the MRT (Queen Sirikit National Convention Center Station), taxis, or bus route 136. For a seamless experience, the Amazing Thailand app provides a 3D map, AR navigation, and real-time updates on performances and activities.
What Awaits Visitors
The festival is divided into nine engaging zones, each offering a unique glimpse into Thailand’s culture, cuisine, and travel opportunities.
The Amazing Thailand Zone dazzles with immersive exhibitions, including a TeamLab-style digital art installation and a massive 3D video wall. Visitors can snap retro-style photos at Chayanitikorn Studio, sip coffee at the Amazing Coffee corner, and shop at eco-friendly flea market stalls. Entertainment includes performances by DICE and the cast of GELBOYS, along with fan meet-and-greets.
Regional zones transport guests across Thailand’s diverse landscapes. The Eastern Village showcases attractions like Butterfly Kingdom and Bang Pu’s seagull sanctuary, alongside regional delicacies such as Rayong durian and mantis shrimp noodles. The Central Village recreates the nostalgic charm of Hua Lamphong Railway Station and offers classic Thai street food, while the Northern Village immerses visitors in Lanna culture with traditional dishes and spa experiences.
The Southern Village celebrates the region’s vibrant heritage with pink dolphin mascots, batik art, and iconic dishes like Betong chicken rice and Trang grilled pork. Meanwhile, the Northeastern Village highlights Isan culture with Phi Ta Khon masks, fermented sausages, and lively luk thung performances.
For travel enthusiasts, the TAT Travel Mall offers exclusive tour packages, while the Sustainable Tourism Zone educates visitors on eco-friendly travel with a striking sculpture of a Bryde’s whale made from 90 kg of plastic waste.
Non-Stop Entertainment
The Main Stage will host a star-studded lineup, including performances by Tai Orathai, Sornram Nampetch, and MEAN, as well as cultural shows and the Miss Thailand Tourism Festival pageant.
