Spotnana, a travel technology platform, has appointed Ruben Leal as its new director of sales.
Leal brings nearly 20 years of experience in travel and procurement management, having worked for leading companies like Procter & Gamble (P&G), Pfizer, Walmart, and Netflix.
Based in Mexico, Leal previously held the role of senior global procurement manager at Pfizer, overseeing travel, meetings and events, fleet, and HR services. He later joined Walmart as the director of global travel services for Latin America, a position he held from 2014 to 2023. Most recently, he worked as Netflix’s director of travel and expense for Latin America before spending six months as a procurement advisor at Mexican manufacturing firm GCP.
In a LinkedIn post on March 25, Leal shared his excitement about joining Spotnana. “For years, I sat across from C-suite executives demanding better content, cleaner data, and a booking experience that matched leisure travel. After years of explaining why things couldn’t be done, I’m now part of the solution,” he said.
Leal also expressed enthusiasm for his new role: “I can’t wait to work alongside [Spotnana colleagues and TMC partners] to transform corporate travel one company, one traveler, and one trip at a time.”
Leal will continue to work remotely from Mexico City in his new position at Spotnana.
