Hong Kong Airlines will launch a new direct flight service between Hong Kong and Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, starting April 29. The move aims to provide travelers with a faster and more convenient way to reach the scenic region while boosting economic and cultural exchanges.
Enhanced Travel Convenience
The new route will offer passengers from Hong Kong and nearby regions a seamless travel option to Hulunbuir. It is also expected to strengthen ties between Hong Kong and cities under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The airline believes the service will promote tourism, trade, and cultural cooperation between the two regions.
Hulunbuir: A Key Destination
Hulunbuir, located in northeastern Inner Mongolia, is a major gateway to the Hulunbuir Grassland and a vital hub in the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor. The city is famous for its stunning landscapes, including the vast grasslands and the winding Eerguna River. Visitors can also experience the unique cultures of the Mongolian and Ewenki ethnic groups.
Beyond tourism, the new route will facilitate business exchanges, particularly in agriculture, energy, and cultural tourism, further boosting economic partnerships.
Expanding Hong Kong Airlines’ Network
Hong Kong Airlines continues to expand its flight network, focusing on high-potential destinations along the Belt and Road. Recent additions include routes to Dunhuang, Xining, Vientiane (Laos), and Da Nang (Vietnam). The airline’s strategy reinforces Hong Kong’s role as a global aviation hub.
With this new service, travelers can now explore Hulunbuir’s natural beauty and cultural richness with greater ease.
