Corinthia Hotels has officially opened its first property in Bucharest, marking a significant expansion for the luxury brand in the Romanian capital.
The Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest, which was first announced in 2018, was initially set to open in late 2019. However, the hotel has now opened its doors this week, after much anticipation. The property is housed in a historic 19th-century building that has been fully renovated.
The hotel features 30 suites, three restaurants and bars, as well as a spa. For business guests, there are two boardrooms available for meetings.
Simon Casson, CEO of Corinthia Hotels, described the opening as “an important chapter” for the company, which is based in Malta. He emphasized the hotel’s celebration of Bucharest’s history and future.
“Corinthia Grand Hotel du Boulevard Bucharest is a true reflection of the city’s rich heritage and vibrant future,” Casson said. “With its unmatched luxury and exceptional service, we are excited to provide guests with a refined experience that combines tradition and modernity in one of Europe’s most dynamic cities.”
This new opening follows the debut of the Corinthia Brussels hotel in Belgium, which opened in December.
