Capella Hotel Group has announced that Capella Taipei will officially open on April 1, 2025. This marks the brand’s first venture into Taiwan. The new hotel is located on Dunhua North Road, one of Taipei’s most prestigious areas, offering easy access to the city’s business centers, cultural landmarks, and vibrant lifestyle attractions.
The launch of Capella Taipei is part of the group’s wider growth strategy in Asia. It reflects the company’s desire to expand its presence in key luxury markets and aligns with Taiwan’s goal to establish itself as a top destination for high-end international travelers.
The 86-room hotel will include 78 guest rooms and 8 suites. Among these, six suites will feature private pool terraces, providing a level of privacy rarely seen in city hotels. One of the standout features of Capella Taipei is its rooftop pool terrace, located on the 14th floor, which offers stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. The hotel will also offer five dining options, each designed to provide guests with curated culinary experiences.
Design has played a key role in the development of Capella Taipei. The hotel is situated within a building developed in partnership with Tokyo-based Mori Building Group and designed by renowned interior designer André Fu. Fu’s concept of a “modern mansion” blends bespoke luxury with architectural elements inspired by Taiwanese culture. The interiors are filled with natural light and feature a soft color palette, handcrafted details, and a refined design that reflects the essence of Taipei.
Cristiano Rinaldi, President of Capella Hotel Group, stated that the opening of Capella Taipei is a significant step in the company’s expansion in Asia. He highlighted that the hotel will introduce Capella’s signature luxury service to Taiwan, offering an experience that celebrates the island’s heritage through its design, cuisine, and art.
