Lufthansa is broadening the availability of its new Allegris cabin product, with the upgraded first-class section now featured on eight Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Starting March 30, Allegris will be offered on flights departing from Munich to San Francisco, Chicago, Santiago, Shanghai, and Bangalore. The new product will be available across all classes—Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class—on these routes.
Since its debut in May 2024, Lufthansa has reported that nearly half a million passengers have experienced the Allegris cabin. The airline also revealed plans to retrofit its Boeing 747-8 fleet with the Allegris product later this year, although no specific start date has been provided.
The Allegris first-class experience includes two private suites and a “Suite Plus”—a larger cabin with two seats that can be transformed into a double bed if needed. Each suite features heated and cooled seats, 43-inch screens, high walls for privacy, and lockable doors. Passengers also have access to a private wardrobe with ample storage space.
“We are working with Allegris to completely reinvent the Lufthansa First Class travel experience and make it even more exclusive,” said Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa. “We’re also focusing on enhancing comfort on the ground, with redesigned First Class check-in areas and lounges in Munich and Frankfurt.”
Lufthansa is not alone in its investment in premium offerings. Air France unveiled its new First Class suites this week, and British Airways is set to introduce its own upgraded First Class in 2026 as part of a broader £7 billion transformation plan.
In addition, Lufthansa recently shared plans to overhaul all service aspects in its long-haul cabins by 2026, coinciding with the airline’s 100th anniversary. This revamp will include updates to meals, cutlery, pillows, blankets, amenity kits, and in-flight service.
