MSC Group has announced new leadership changes within its North American cruise division.
Rubén Rodríguez has been appointed as the new CEO for MSC Group’s cruise operations in North America. In his new role, Rodríguez will oversee both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.
He will collaborate closely with the heads of each brand: Lynn Torrent, president of MSC Cruises North America, and Chris Austin, president of Explora Journeys for North and Central America.
Rodríguez had previously announced his retirement, which was scheduled for April 30.
Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Group’s cruise division, shared, “As president of MSC Cruises USA, Rubén achieved significant results and laid the foundation for growth. This made him the natural choice for this newly created position.”
Vago also added, “We are building a new structure to better serve our trade partners and customers, enhance the performance of both brands, and strengthen our presence in North America.”
