The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) has successfully concluded its participation in the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT), held from March 18 to 20. The event, one of Russia’s largest tourism fairs, provided Jordan with a prime opportunity to showcase its rich travel offerings.
The JTB set up an impressive pavilion, featuring representatives from tourism offices, hotels, and Royal Jordanian Airlines. The pavilion attracted significant attention, allowing the Jordanian delegation to connect with major Russian travel companies and introduce visitors to the country’s diverse attractions.
Key destinations such as Petra, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, and Jerash were prominently featured. The pavilion also promoted Jordan’s growing religious and medical tourism sectors.
JTB Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat emphasized the board’s commitment to increasing Russian tourist numbers. He noted that the Russian market has shown strong growth in recent years.
Initial feedback from the exhibition was positive, with several Russian travel agencies expressing interest in organizing trips to Jordan. The JTB plans to follow up with these companies to finalize agreements.
To attract more Russian tourists, Jordan has simplified visa procedures and is promoting direct flights in cooperation with Royal Jordanian and other airlines.
The Jordanian delegation held extensive talks with Russian tourism firms. Discussions covered customized travel packages, joint marketing campaigns, and targeted promotions through social media and Russian news outlets.
The Moscow exhibition is a major event in the travel industry, drawing thousands of exhibitors and experts. Jordan’s participation reinforces its position as a top global destination.
