Danang, located in central Vietnam, is set to host the 12th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) from April 2-4, 2025, solidifying the region’s growing reputation as a top golf destination. The event, organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), will bring key figures from the global golf tourism industry to the city.

The AGTC will shine a spotlight on Vietnam’s impressive golf courses, including Laguna Golf Lang Co, Montgomerie Links, and Ba Na Hills Golf Club—key members of the Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC). This convention is expected to further boost Central Vietnam’s standing in the international golf tourism market, already recognized as one of the fastest-growing markets worldwide.

Montgomerie Links is preparing for the event by organizing familiarization trips for international tour operators and media. The club plans to showcase the best of Vietnam’s golfing experience, while also enhancing partnerships through digital platforms and exclusive Stay & Play packages.

Ba Na Hills Golf Club, named IAGTO Golf Course of the Year in 2020 and 2024, views AGTC as a major opportunity to strengthen its reputation on the global stage. The club plans to leverage its long-standing relationship with IAGTO to build stronger ties with international golf tour operators and showcase its award-winning course.

“AGTC is a great platform to display the world-class quality and diversity of golf in Central Vietnam,” said Simon Mees, General Manager of Ba Na Hills Golf Club. “With our stunning mountain views and exceptional course design, we’re excited to play a role in raising Danang’s profile on the global golf scene.”

To the north, Laguna Golf Lang Co is preparing to use AGTC as a launchpad to increase its visibility in markets like Australia, New Zealand, and other long-haul destinations. The club will introduce a new online booking platform for direct tee time reservations and stay-and-play packages, as well as a B2B portal to enhance business partnerships.

“Our involvement in AGTC 2025 reflects our dedication to making Laguna Golf Lang Co a global golfing destination,” said Stephen Banks, Director of Golf at Laguna Lang Co. “With our new online booking system and exclusive long-stay packages, we are enhancing the experience for international golfers.”

The AGTC 2025 will not only spotlight the region’s exceptional golf offerings but also strengthen Central Vietnam’s position as a major player in the global golf tourism industry.
