Qantas has announced a major investment in its regional lounge network, with plans to upgrade seven lounges over the next 12 months. This follows the recent opening of the new Broome Regional Lounge, which offers stunning tarmac views and a fresh design inspired by the vibrant colors of the Dampier Peninsula.
The new Broome lounge has double the capacity of the previous space, providing more comfort and amenities for travelers. This upgrade is part of Qantas’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience for regional passengers.
Rachel Yangoyan, CEO of QantasLink, said, “Qantas has been part of regional Australia for over 100 years. We’re dedicated to continuing our investment in these communities. Delivering a great travel experience is a priority, which is why we’re upgrading seven regional lounges with a multi-million-dollar investment.”
She added, “We’re also investing in the future of regional flying with over 40 new aircraft joining the QantasLink fleet in the coming years. These planes will improve connectivity, in-flight service, and the overall customer experience.”

The upgrades will include:

- Enhanced technology for travelers.
- Artwork showcasing the talent of Australian artists.
- Sustainable features to reduce single-use plastics.
These improvements will benefit thousands of regional travelers, offering a more comfortable and enjoyable experience at Qantas lounges.
