FlyPelican will launch its inaugural direct morning flights from Newcastle to the Gold Coast on Monday, 24 March, with a route launch event to celebrate the newest travel option for the region.
This new service, operating four days a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – marks a significant expansion of FlyPelican’s network, offering enhanced connectivity and flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
The early morning departures are particularly beneficial for business travellers, aligning with Newcastle Airport’s commitment to increasing travel options and enhancing regional connectivity.
Each flight departs Newcastle at 7am and arrives at the Gold Coast within 1.5 hours, with a 30-minute turnaround before the return flight.
Flying a Jetstream 32 aircraft seating 19 and offering a complimentary checked baggage allowance, the Newcastle-Gold Coast service is ideal for the business traveller.
The launch fares will start from $245 one way inclusive of taxes.
