Air France has unveiled its latest first-class cabin, La Première, set to debut this spring on Boeing 777-300ER flights between Paris and New York. The new design promises enhanced luxury and space, marking a significant upgrade for the airline’s premium travelers.
The revamped La Première cabin will feature four spacious suites, each measuring nearly 38 square feet—a 25% increase in size compared to the current configuration. Air France already offers its existing first-class cabins on several U.S. routes, including flights to New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington Dulles, and Miami.
Each suite will include a plush, adjustable seat and a chaise longue positioned opposite, allowing passengers to stretch out comfortably while seated—perfect for reading or in-flight entertainment. The chaise longue can also transform into a bed, extending to nearly 6.5 feet in length for a restful sleep.
A standout feature of the new suites is their alignment with five windows, a design element Air France claims is unique in the airline industry. The two center suites will be separated by an electric sliding partition, which can be opened with the touch of a button to create a shared space for travelers flying together. Floor-to-ceiling curtains will provide privacy for all suites, while 32-inch seatback entertainment screens will offer a premium viewing experience.
Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith emphasized that the new La Première cabins are part of the airline’s broader strategy to attract high-end travelers. “We continue to invest in state-of-the-art products for our customers at every step of their journey, with the aim of positioning Air France at the highest level worldwide,” Smith said.
Following the Paris-New York launch, the new first-class suites will also be introduced on Boeing 777-300ER flights from Paris to Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo Haneda during the summer. This rollout underscores Air France’s commitment to elevating its premium offerings and competing in the luxury travel market.
