Prince Edward Island (PEI), known as Canada’s Food Island, is rolling out exciting new experiences in 2025. From a luxurious oceanfront hotel to hands-on culinary adventures, here’s what’s new on the island.
The Hotel Acadia: A Coastal Retreat
Opening in late 2024, Blackbush Beach Resort on PEI’s north shore features The Hotel Acadia, a boutique hotel with 30 luxurious rooms overlooking Tracadie Bay. Guests can also stay in cozy cottages or beach villas.
The hotel honors the original Hotel Acadia, which operated in the 1800s. Amenities include direct beach access, a year-round outdoor “Oasis” with a swim spa, sauna, and hot tubs, plus a library and beachside yoga classes. Business travelers will find flexible meeting spaces.
Ada Culinary Studio: Island Flavors Reimagined
In Charlottetown, Ada Culinary Studio offers immersive dining experiences and seasonal pop-ups with guest chefs. The menu highlights locally sourced ingredients, and the grab-and-go counter is famous for its weekly donut creations, which often sell out.
Reddin’s Speakeasy: A Taste of History
PEI’s first speakeasy, Reddin’s, is located in Charlottetown’s historic Reddin’s Drug Store. The vintage-inspired lounge serves handcrafted cocktails like the Reddin’s Remedy and Dapper Dan. Guests need a secret password to enter, adding a fun twist.
Deep Roots Distillery: Make Your Own Gin
At Deep Roots Distillery, visitors can join a three-hour gin-making workshop. Using over 30 local ingredients, guests create their own custom gin blend and take home two bottles of their creation.
Why Visit PEI in 2025?
PEI combines history, culture, and culinary excellence, making it a must-visit destination in 2025. Whether you’re relaxing by the ocean, savoring local flavors, or crafting your own gin, PEI promises unforgettable memories.
