VietJet is enhancing its regional presence by introducing new direct flight routes from Ho Chi Minh City to key cities in Asia. The airline will add services to Hyderabad and Bangalore in India, as well as new routes to Nagoya and Fukuoka in Japan. Additionally, starting in May 2025, VietJet will launch direct flights between Singapore and Phu Quoc, while also increasing daily flights between Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City to three round trips. These changes aim to improve travel convenience for passengers between these countries and across the region.
These new routes bring VietJet’s total of new international flights to 10 in just two months. This expansion further strengthens Vietnam’s air connections to destinations such as Singapore, China, India, and Japan.
Vietnam-India Connectivity: Growth Since 2019
VietJet continues to enhance Vietnam-India flight options, with new direct routes launching between Ho Chi Minh City and Hyderabad, as well as between Ho Chi Minh City and Bengaluru. These routes are scheduled to begin on March 18 and 19, 2025. The Ho Chi Minh City-Hyderabad route will operate two return flights per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Ho Chi Minh City-Bangalore route will have three return flights weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
With these additions, VietJet now operates the largest network of flights between Vietnam and India, with 10 routes and 78 weekly flights. The airline connects major Vietnamese cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang to key Indian cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
Since launching its first direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi in 2019, VietJet has played a significant role in expanding air links between Vietnam and India, operating over 8,300 flights and carrying nearly 1.62 million passengers.
Expanding Vietnam-Japan Routes: 10 Direct Services
In Japan, VietJet is introducing two new direct routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Nagoya and Fukuoka, set to begin on April 24 and 25, 2025. The Ho Chi Minh City-Nagoya route will operate four times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays), while the Ho Chi Minh City-Fukuoka route will operate three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).
With these new routes, VietJet will offer a total of 10 direct flights between Vietnam and Japan, with 138 weekly flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima.
Singapore-Vietnam Expansion: New Route to Phu Quoc
Starting May 30, 2025, VietJet will offer direct flights from Singapore to Phu Quoc Island, with four return flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This new route adds to the airline’s existing flights between Singapore and Vietnamese cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang. VietJet will now operate 78 one-way flights weekly between Singapore and Vietnam.
Passengers can expect a range of amenities, including Vietnamese and international cuisine, special in-flight cultural performances, complimentary SkyCare insurance, and SkyJoy loyalty rewards. All flights will be operated on VietJet’s modern, fuel-efficient aircraft.
This expanded network enhances VietJet’s position as a key player in regional air travel, offering more options and convenience for travelers between Vietnam, Asia, and beyond.
