Ghanem Group has acquired the iconic Fox Hotel on Fish Lane in South Brisbane, transforming it into a multi-level dining, events, and entertainment precinct set to reopen later this year. The revitalization of this heritage-listed landmark has been highly anticipated, thanks to its prime location in the heart of the Fish Lane arts, food, and entertainment precinct and its stunning architecture.
The project, led by Space Cubed Design Studio, includes a full interior redesign that honors the hotel’s legacy. Heritage features and Art Deco charm have been preserved while introducing modern dining and drinking experiences. The venue will offer multiple cuisines under one roof, creating a vibrant destination for locals and visitors alike.
The Fox Hotel’s transformation spans four floors, each reflecting a different era of the building’s eclectic history. Guests can explore a variety of spaces, including:
- A ground-level public bar with bistro dining.
- A gaming lounge with an adjoining bottle shop.
- Two dedicated function spaces for events.
- A sophisticated late-night cocktail lounge.
A rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Brisbane’s CBD and performing arts district.

The Ghanem Group, founded in 2006 by brothers Adonis and Nehme Ghanem, has a rich hospitality legacy dating back to 1978 when their parents owned Lebanese restaurants across Brisbane. The group has since expanded its portfolio with diverse venues across Queensland and Melbourne, offering cuisines from around the world.
The reopening of the Fox Hotel marks a new chapter for Fish Lane, blending history with modern innovation to create a must-visit destination in Brisbane.
