Cathay Pacific has introduced its next-generation Aria Suite Business Class to Australian travelers, making Australia only the second country outside Hong Kong to experience this luxury offering. The new Aria Suite debuted on a flight from Hong Kong to Sydney, which landed at noon on Tuesday.
This marks the first long-haul route outside Europe to feature the Aria Suite on a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. The plane also includes a brand-new Premium Economy cabin and an upgraded Economy section.
The Aria Suite sets a new standard for premium air travel. It is part of Cathay Pacific’s HK100billion(AU203 million) investment into its fleet, cabin products, airport lounges, and digital innovation. The suite offers unmatched comfort, style, and functionality, with every detail designed to provide a personalized and immersive travel experience.
Key features of the Aria Suite include:
- A spacious cabin with intuitive seat designs.
- Soft LED lighting and privacy doors.
- Wireless charging consoles for seamless connectivity.
- A 24-inch 4K screen, the largest ever offered by the airline.
The Business Class cabin has 45 suites arranged in a 1-2-1 layout, ensuring every passenger has direct aisle access.The design reflects Cathay Pacific’s commitment to quality, with luxurious bedding and ample storage.
The Aria Suite also pays tribute to Hong Kong through its Gallery in the Skies initiative. Each cabin features unique artwork created by artists with a deep connection to the city.
Cathay Pacific is rolling out new seat products over the next three years to enhance the inflight experience. The retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER is the first to feature the new Business and Premium Economy cabins, as well as the refreshed Economy section.The Premium Economy cabin offers:
- Generous seats with extra privacy.
- 15.6-inch 4K widescreen TVs with Bluetooth audio pairing.
- Exclusive lavatories for Premium Economy passengers.

Cathay Pacific has seen strong financial performance in 2024, driven by higher passenger numbers, increased cargo demand, and cost efficiencies. The airline has also won two prestigious awards: Cargo Operator of the Year and Eco-Airline of the Year, making it the first airline in Asia to receive this environmental recognition.
