Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026 with a series of special offerings, including a new riverboat, three Mystery Cruises, a family-friendly sailing, and a 50-night world cruise.
The company will introduce its first new ship since 2021, the S.S. Emilie. Inspired by artist Gustav Klimt and his partner Emilie Flöge, the vessel will sail the Danube River on eight distinct itineraries. Designed to accommodate 154 passengers, the ship will also feature a two-bedroom suite option.
Uniworld’s Mystery Cruise series will return in 2026 with three new itineraries. Two of these will set sail on April 26, while the third will depart on May 3. Details of these routes remain undisclosed, adding an element of surprise for travelers.
To mark the milestone anniversary, Uniworld is launching its most ambitious journey yet: a 50-night ‘Rivers of the World’ cruise. Departing on April 16, 2026, the voyage will span three continents. The first leg begins in Brussels aboard the S.S. Emilie, followed by a Mystery Cruise segment, a Seine River cruise, a Nile River cruise, and a stay in Jordan.
“As we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved,” said Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld. “Founded in 1976 as a tour company, we became the first North American cruise line to offer voyages across Europe. Over the past five decades, we have continued to innovate, providing unforgettable experiences for our guests. While we embrace change, our core values remain the same, and we look forward to offering new journeys that honor our history and future.”
Families can look forward to new Generations Collection sailings, designed specifically for travelers with children. Two family-friendly cruises, departing on July 19 and July 26, will follow the Burgundy & Provence itinerary. Onboard, dedicated family hosts will provide kid-friendly dining and activities.
In addition to these offerings, Uniworld is introducing new itineraries across Europe. The S.S. Emilie will host three new Danube journeys, some of which can be combined with extended land stays. One of the highlights is the 17-day Danube Grandeur & Prague itinerary, which covers seven countries and merges two popular regional routes.
With these new cruises and innovations, Uniworld aims to make its 50th anniversary a landmark year for luxury river travel.
