AirAsia X Expands Service to Karachi, Boosting Connectivity Between ASEAN and Pakistan

AirAsia X (AAX) has announced the launch of a new route to Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, beginning on May 30, 2025. This marks a major step forward in the airline’s international expansion.

The new four-times-weekly service adds Karachi to AirAsia X’s growing network, which now includes 22 routes. The airline’s commitment to providing affordable medium-haul travel is further strengthened with this expansion.

As Malaysia’s only low-cost carrier offering direct flights to Karachi, this route will provide affordable travel options for Malaysian passengers and the large Pakistani community living in Malaysia. It also plays a key role in connecting Pakistan to Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia, providing access to the region’s thriving trade, tourism, and economic opportunities.
