Silversea, a top luxury and expedition travel brand, has unveiled its World Cruise 2028, titled An Ode to the Moment. The cruise, which marks Silver Shadow’s debut World Cruise departure from Miami, will set sail on January 5 and conclude in Nice on May 16.
The 132-day journey will visit 58 destinations across 29 countries, including 17 overnight stays. The itinerary spans regions such as the Caribbean, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Along the way, the cruise will connect travelers to over 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, offering a rich cultural and historical experience.
Designed by Silversea’s expert team, the World Cruise promises exclusive events, overland tours, and tailored experiences, enhancing the voyage for its guests. An Ode to the Moment: A Journey of Discovery
The cruise will explore both well-known destinations and hidden gems, with an emphasis on smaller, less-visited locations. The voyage aims to immerse guests in the local customs and cultures of each place, providing a meaningful and authentic experience.
An Ode to the Moment is divided into nine chapters, each offering a deeper connection to the destinations. The journey begins with Anthem of the Tropics, sailing from Miami to Cartagena. It concludes with Echoes of Empires, which takes guests off the beaten path in the Mediterranean, visiting lesser-known spots like Milos, Agropoli, and Diano National Park.
