Riverside Luxury Cruises has officially joined Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in Australasia, strengthening its presence within the growing cruise industry community.
As a River Cruise Marketing Affiliate, Riverside Luxury Cruises now has the opportunity to showcase its fleet of three all-suite ships to CLIA’s 6,000 travel agents across Australia and New Zealand. This new partnership places Riverside alongside some of the world’s top cruise operators, as well as industry suppliers, ports, and destinations within CLIA’s extensive network.
“River cruising has gained incredible popularity among travelers from Australia and New Zealand, and the range of experiences available on the world’s inland waterways continues to grow,” said Joel Katz, Managing Director of CLIA Australasia. “Riverside Luxury Cruises adds a unique touch of luxury to this sector, making them an exciting new member of our cruise community during a time of significant innovation.”
Susie Coughlin, Riverside Luxury Cruises’ Commercial Sales & Marketing Representative in Australia and New Zealand, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Our CLIA membership will be a key part of our strategy as we expand our presence in Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to engaging with travel agents through CLIA’s events and training programs as we continue to grow in the region.”
Launched in 2023, Riverside Luxury Cruises operates three luxury all-suite river ships in Europe: Riverside Mozart, Riverside Ravel, and Riverside Debussy. These ships navigate major European rivers such as the Rhine, Danube, Main, Moselle, Rhone, and Saone, offering guests a high crew-to-guest ratio, butler service, and contemporary luxury hotel-style amenities, with fares available in Australian dollars.
The company was founded by the Gerlach family and incorporates vessels previously part of the renowned Crystal fleet. Riverside Luxury Cruises also plans to welcome two more all-suite ships, Riverside Bach and Riverside Mahler, which are currently on charter. These ships are set to rejoin the Riverside fleet in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
