Uniworld has revealed plans to introduce three new “Super Ships” in 2027, expanding its fleet with vessels inspired by the destinations they sail through. While specific itineraries have not yet been announced, the new ships will navigate Europe’s Rhine, Main, Danube, and Douro rivers.
CEO Ellen Bettridge described the move as a significant step in the company’s evolution. “2027 will mark an extraordinary milestone for Uniworld as we complete our transformation into a fully Super Ship fleet,” she said. “Our focus has always been on more than just adding ships; it’s about raising the bar for luxury river cruising. These new vessels will reflect our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, providing an exceptional experience for our guests.”
The new ships promise to be the pinnacle of luxury, with custom fabrics, hand-carved wood, and marble floors. They will also feature exclusive artwork, either created for the ships or sourced from renowned artists. Additionally, the ships will offer more space, with more suites and dining options for passengers.
Each ship will be influenced by famous figures tied to the regions they visit, bringing a unique and personal touch to the cruise experience.
This year, Uniworld will launch the S.S. Elisabeth, following the debut of the S.S. Victoria in 2024. The S.S. Emilie is set to join the fleet in 2026. In addition to its European cruises, Uniworld operates in Egypt, India, Peru, and Vietnam and Cambodia.
