The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has announced the partners for this year’s International Women’s Day (IWD) Lunch, which will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Q Events in Melbourne.
CATO is excited to have support from a diverse group of industry leaders, including Chimu Adventures, Collette, Destination Canada, Globus Family of Brands, G Adventures, Intrepid, Julie King & Associates, On the Go Tours, NIB Travel, and The Travel Corporation. These partners have united to enhance the impact of this important occasion.
The group is participating through the Brands for a Cause initiative, a collaboration aimed at creating positive change and advocating for women in the travel sector and beyond. This year’s event will focus on the theme of “Emotional Resilience,” celebrating the achievements of women while fostering discussions about strength, perseverance, and empowerment.
“We are deeply grateful for the support of our partners who have joined together for this important cause,” said CATO Managing Director Brett Jardine. “Their commitment not only honors the outstanding women in our industry but also sparks an essential conversation about emotional resilience and the support systems necessary for women to thrive.”
The IWD Lunch will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers, including Olympic gold medallist Noémie Fox and Yellow Falcon CEO Ashleigh Conwell. Ingrid Berthelsen will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
The event will also offer support to the Women’s Resilience Centre, an organization that helps women transition from crisis care to recovery following domestic abuse, trauma, and loss. CATO encourages all attendees to wear a touch of yellow to symbolize joy, resilience, hope, and empowerment.
