Air India has revamped its flight network to offer quicker travel between Sydney and Melbourne and major European cities such as London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Amsterdam. The airline has significantly reduced connection times, making layovers in India approximately two hours.
To promote these improved connection times, Air India has launched a campaign titled ‘Via,’ showcasing India as a convenient global transit hub.
The updated flight schedule makes Air India one of the fastest options for travel between Australia and Europe, with comfortable layovers at its hub in Delhi. According to Nipun Aggarwal, Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer, “India’s strategic location, combined with its advanced airport infrastructure and Air India’s extensive route network, provides efficient one-stop access for travelers traveling between the East and West.”
Air India operates seven flights weekly from both Sydney and Melbourne to Delhi. From Delhi, the airline connects to London Heathrow 24 times a week, Paris CDG and Frankfurt 14 times a week each, and Amsterdam and Milan seven times a week.
Improved Transit Experience at Delhi Airport
Air India’s operations at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport ensure smooth and convenient transfers for passengers traveling from Australia to Europe. The terminal’s world-class design, coupled with its efficiency and cultural touch, enhances the overall travel experience.
For added comfort, Business Class passengers, Maharaja Club members, and eligible Star Alliance members can access lounge services at these airports, ensuring a relaxed stopover.
