The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in Toronto is welcoming two new members to its team: Oral Chambers and Sedrecia Francis. Both have significant experience with JTB, having previously worked in the U.S. and Jamaica, and are expected to contribute to the continued growth of tourism to Jamaica in 2024.
Chambers, who has a background in business development management in the U.S., will now focus on promoting Jamaica as a top tourist destination in Canada. He will cover the Eastern, Northern, and Greater Toronto Area (GTA) East regions.
“I’m excited to bring my experience to the Canadian market,” Chambers said. “This role offers a great opportunity to make Jamaica the top vacation choice for Canadians.”
The Canadian team is equally excited about his arrival. “Oral’s strong work ethic and approachable personality have made him a respected member of our team,” said Angella Bennett, Regional Director of JTB Canada. “We’re thrilled to have him join us and look forward to his continued success.”
Francis, who has been with JTB since 2016, previously worked as the Media Relations Officer at JTB’s corporate office in Kingston, Jamaica. Her role involved working with media and content creators to promote Jamaica’s tourism offerings. Now, she will take on the role of Business Development Manager for Western Canada.
“I’m thrilled to support the team in Canada,” Francis said. “Jamaica offers a unique experience with its beautiful beaches, vibrant energy, and serene atmosphere – there’s something for everyone.”
Bennett expressed confidence in Francis’s ability to succeed in her new role. “Sedrecia’s dedication and expertise in her previous position make her a perfect fit for this role,” Bennett said. “We’re excited to see her thrive in this next step of her career.”
