Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has announced the launch of direct flights connecting Iloilo and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport. This new route will provide travelers from Iloilo, known as the “City of Love,” with a faster and more budget-friendly option to visit Thailand.
Starting 31 March 2024, Cebu Pacific will operate flights between Iloilo and Don Mueang Airport (DMK) three times a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. With this move, CEB becomes the only airline offering nonstop flights between Iloilo and Bangkok.
This new route marks Bangkok as the third international destination served by Cebu Pacific from Iloilo, alongside existing direct flights to Hong Kong and Singapore.
Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “We are thrilled to offer more travelers the chance to explore the vibrant city of Bangkok. By strengthening our Iloilo hub, we can connect even more passengers from the Western Visayas region to exciting destinations within our international network.”
To celebrate the launch, Cebu Pacific is offering a special fare promotion from 12 to 16 February 2024. During this period, one-way base fares for the Iloilo-Bangkok route start at just PHP 1 (excluding taxes and fees) for travel between 31 March 2024 and 25 October 2025.
Cebu Pacific currently serves 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, continuing to expand its network to provide affordable travel options for passengers.
This new route is expected to boost tourism and strengthen economic ties between the Philippines and Thailand, while offering Iloilo residents greater access to international travel opportunities.
