TravelPulse Canada has announced Natasha Lair-McKenty as the new Managing Editor of the publication. Lair-McKenty, a seasoned media professional, brings over 20 years of experience across print media, trade writing, public relations, and broadcast journalism.
Based in Toronto, Lair-McKenty has a strong background in travel trade publishing, making her a valuable addition to the growing editorial team at TravelPulse Canada.
“I’m excited to join TravelPulse Canada at such a pivotal moment,” said Lair-McKenty. “The travel industry is evolving quickly, and I look forward to providing engaging and relevant content that will keep travel professionals informed and inspired.”
Lair-McKenty joins a talented editorial team, including TravelPulse Quebec Managing Editor Bert Archer in Montreal, Senior Editor Jen Mallia in Alberta, and a team of experienced contributors. The team is part of a revitalized effort to strengthen both the TravelPulse Canada and TravelPulse Quebec brands.
Ken Shapiro, Vice President and Editorial Director of Northstar Travel Group, TravelPulse’s parent company, expressed excitement about the new editorial direction. “We’re thrilled with the talented content creators and editors we’ve brought to TravelPulse Canada and TravelPulse Quebec. TravelPulse Canada has also been active in producing exclusive content. The publication recently released a three-part series based on original research from Phocuswright, sponsored by Ensemble, Princess Cruises, and the Globus Family of Brands. The series explores trends in the travel advisor business and the broader travel industry. A webinar discussing the research will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern, with registration now open on the TravelPulse Canada website.
Additionally, TravelPulse Canada announced its plans for the upcoming Readers Choice Awards, scheduled for May 15 at the Four Seasons in Toronto. “Hosting the Readers Choice Awards at the prestigious Four Seasons reflects our commitment to making this a standout event in the industry,” said Shapiro.
