Air Transat has teamed up with Air Europa, a major Spanish airline, to enhance travel options between Canada and Spain. The new interline agreement allows Air Transat passengers to easily connect to several popular Spanish cities through Air Europa’s hub in Madrid.
Improved Connectivity to Spain
This partnership expands Air Transat’s reach in Spain, enabling passengers to fly to cities like Bilbao, Ibiza, La Coruña, Las Palmas, Palma de Mallorca, Tenerife, and Vigo. Travelers will pass through Madrid Barajas Airport, with Air Transat offering up to four flights per week between April and October.
A Key Move for Air Transat
Sebastian Ponce, Air Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer, highlighted the significance of the Spanish market for the airline. He emphasized that the partnership reflects Air Transat’s commitment to providing more travel choices for its customers.
The agreement also brings added convenience for travelers, including single check-in for the entire journey, baggage transfer to final destinations, and protection against delays or cancellations.
