In January 2025, Iberia and Iberia Express ranked among the most punctual airlines worldwide, securing second place in their respective categories for global punctuality.
Iberia’s On-Time Success
According to data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, Iberia achieved a remarkable 85.82% on-time rate, with 14,079 flights operated in January. This solid performance came amidst high demand during the busy post-holiday season.
Iberia Express Shines as a Low-Cost Carrier
Iberia Express also excelled, with a punctuality rate of 87.49%, making it the second most reliable low-cost carrier globally. The airline completed 3,431 monitored flights, further cementing its reputation for punctuality.
IAG Group’s Strength in Europe
In Europe, IAG Group’s airlines showed strong results. Iberia Express was the region’s most punctual airline, and Vueling, another IAG carrier, ranked third with 87.31% on-time performance. Iberia followed closely in fourth, highlighting the group’s commitment to efficiency.
