The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced its first-ever IATA World Data Symposium (WDS), set to take place in Dublin, Ireland, on February 26–27, 2024. Hosted by Aer Lingus, the event will focus on the theme “Digital Skies: Unleashing the Power of Data in Aviation.”
The symposium will bring together industry experts to discuss key topics such as data utilization, technology advancements, and cybersecurity. Attendees will explore how cutting-edge data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance decision-making and drive innovation in aviation.
Kim Macaulay, IATA’s Chief Information and Data Officer, emphasized the importance of the event: “The IATA World Data Symposium is set to become a must-attend gathering for aviation leaders. By bringing together top experts, we aim to assess how digitalization is transforming the airline industry. Sharing insights and experiences will help us all grow stronger.”
