by Alice

Prague Airport achieved a major milestone in 2024, handling 16.4 million passengers and managing 134,609 aircraft take-offs and landings. This represents an 18% increase compared to the previous year, making 2024 the third-busiest year in the airport’s history. The growth was driven by new routes and stronger connections to key markets such as the UAE, Canada, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, and Spain.

Throughout the year, the airport added 41 new routes, bringing its total to 181 direct destinations worldwide. Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, credited the success to strong partnerships with airlines and a focus on efficiency. He noted that the average aircraft occupancy rate exceeded 83%, highlighting both environmental and economic benefits for the Czech Republic.
