IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands in Germany with New Holiday Inn in Ratingen Near Düsseldorf

IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global hospitality leader, is expanding its presence in Germany with the signing of the Holiday Inn Ratingen, located near Düsseldorf. The project, developed in partnership with multi-hotel operator tristar GmbH, will involve the renovation of an existing property into a modern Holiday Inn. The hotel is expected to open in the second half of 2025, marking IHG’s continued focus on growing its footprint in Germany’s secondary markets.

The new Holiday Inn Ratingen will feature 134 rooms and cater to both leisure and business travelers. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities, including a full-service restaurant with the popular ‘Kids Stay & Eat Free’ program, a lively bar, and five flexible meeting spaces for events. The hotel will also introduce the brand’s signature Open Lobby concept, a multifunctional space designed for work, relaxation, or socializing.

Located in the picturesque town of Ratingen, the hotel offers convenient access to nearby attractions and business centers. It is just a short drive from Düsseldorf, known for its fashion, culture, and landmarks such as the Königsallee shopping street, the historic Altstadt (Old Town), and the Kunstpalast art museum.
